Sesshoumaru was startled to find her in distress. Pulling away, he stated, “You are unharmed.”
“I know.” She was breathless. “But I’m not necessarily safe.”
“From me?” Should he be insulted?
“From curiosity.”
Intriguing. Perhaps the first time in his life, Sesshoumaru tried to see himself through her eyes.
