Chapter 65: Understanding
Kagome had learned her lesson and didn’t ask Kohaku to speculate about Sesshoumaru. But she coaxed for little things about his time traveling with the taiyoukai.
“Why do you want to know?”
She hugged him from behind as Kirara carried them high over the treetops. “Because we’re friends. Because Sesshoumaru-sama needs us.”
“There you go again.” Kohaku asked, “Why him?”
She couldn’t really explain. “How can I help him understand he’s not alone?”
“I’ve been thinking about that myself.” A warm hand patted her clasped ones, and he urged the flying cat back to earth. “I might know a way.”

You know I’m kinda having an ulterior motive when commenting. So far every time the notification comes in that you “liked” it a new chapter is online XD
Regardless I did like this chapter, too 🙂 Love seeing a relationship between Kagome and Kohaku. I wonder wether you’re so tuned into writing 100 words that it just happens or wether you add/ subtract words when you’re actually feel like you’re done. Or if those words just give it the last kick 😀

Yes, I have my little habits. Going through the previous post’s comments (and sometimes responding) is part of my routine. I guess that does double as an alert. (Way to work the system!)
I’ve been writing 100-word chapters for so long, I have developed a sense for when a scene is over-long. Most days, I land somewhere between 120-130 words, then resort to some judicious pruning. I’m the bonsai gardener of the fiction world! ::twinkle::

Nice to see some thoughts from Kohaku. He is always keeps his own consul so we rarely know how he feels.

I’ve caught up! Yaaay~
Teamwork and a mini mission sound like a great idea. Can’t wait to see what Kogaku has thought of.
