Chapter 46: Excellent

Kagome revised her original question, not because she suspected that Kohaku was seeing things. She suspected he knew them. “How does Sesshoumaru-sama seem to you?”

“Why ask me?”

“I’m stumped, and your insights might help.”

“Erm… because you might actually answer?”

He stopped. “What did you want to ask him?”

“Nothing specific. I just want to get along.”

Kohaku nodded. “He knows.”

“He does?”

“Kagome-sama, inuyoukai have excellent hearing.”

Up ahead, Sesshoumaru’s face was partially averted. Bright amber striped his pale cheek.

  2. So that’s kind of a clue as to where Kagome’s thoughts were when the wish was “made,” but what was Sesshōmaru thinking at that moment? His acute senses would make her emotional and physical state clearly obvious to him. 🤔
