They haven’t noticed? Kagome checked every face for some sign that she wasn’t going crazy.
Youkai markings were the birthright of the powerful. Sesshoumaru’s were an immutable distinction that left no doubt to his killing potential. But Kagome was doubting her eyes. His stripes changed.
Even as she watched, their warm peachy hue deepened to pumpkin.
How is no one else seeing this?
The marks then shifted into chartreuse, which was really not his best color. “Erm… Sesshoumaru-sama?”
Inuyasha’s ears pricked. Quickly crossing to his brother, he hauled him up, promising to return with meat.
Every eye watching.
Without noticing.

When I first read the title, mood ring came to mind. I can even see Kagome “wishing” that she could read Sesshomaru’s moods/thoughts more easily. Her wish means her visualization. What the heck was Sesshōmaru thinking/wishing? You haven’t driven me this crazy since you stopped writing “Vassal.” I couldn’t figure that one out either. I have learned patience 🙂
