The latest volume of The Ancient Magus’ Bride by Kore Yamazaki arrived with a bonus. The special booklet contains a sweet little side story. This series continues to enthrall me with its art and storytelling. On a related note, the first episode of an anime is currently available on Crunchyroll. I indulged my curiosity and was mildly surprised that it doesn’t follow the manga’s opening storyline at all. In fact, it contains a spoiler or two for those who’ve been thinking about picking up the print editions. Still, it was a delight to see Yamazaki’s world brought to life. The animation is truly beautiful!
I really enjoyed the first episode – I watched it before I read the manga tho (which I bought all 6 volumes at once pretty much, I love it so much) so I was really confused. I need to go back and watch it again! Wish it wasn’t so far between episodes tho…

I love this manga. Interesting story and wonderful art. It can get a bit dark but I don’t mind that. I haven’t checked out the anime yet. Cheers!
