“My hunting trip didn’t go as expected,” Kagomaru sheepishly reminded her.
She shrugged a shoulder and let her gaze drift toward the door, which offered a tantalizing glimpse of freedom. An inept alpha. Father wishes me bound to this mouse of a man?
Kagomaru caught her disdainful glance and fumbled his chopsticks, letting one fall to the floor.
The clumsy fool is unworthy of me. Thankfully, human lives were brief. Honor might keep her by his side, but in a few decades, she’d return home.
