Kind of Addicting. I actually like to keep Japanese peanuts in stock. They’re especially good for snacking during NaNoWriMo.

Thank you to Lexie for this entry in the Photo Challenge I hosted in August. Kimiko does love her snacks! What are yours? ::twinkle::

Thank you to Goldenmirth for this entry in the Photo Challenge I hosted last month. ::twinkle:

Thank you to Alicja for this entry in the Photo Challenge I hosted last month. Her photograph includes many details from Kimiko and the Accidental Proposal. She shared, “I got her favorite tree in, though this is a Pink Serissa not a red like Kusunoki’s.” Nice! ::twinkle::

Thank you to Lynne, who sent this along during last month’s Photo Challenge. For those who’ve read both Book 2 and Book 3, I’m sure you grasp the humor. ::twinkle::

… I really will be drawing for winners soon. Thank you for your patience!
Thank you to Leslie for her entry in the Photo Challenge for Kimiko and the Accidental Proposal. She’s been enjoying Travis Baldree’s narration. (Psst. You know that Book 3 will be coming out in audio format on September 10, right? Good!) ::twinkle::

There’s still time to enter the Photo Challenge >>

Let’s Double Up! Because of … reasons, we never got around to hosting a photo challenge for Kimiko and the Accidental Proposal. So let’s do that now! Use your creativity to stage snapshots featuring the second book in the Amaranthine series. Story props are fun. So are peeks into your corner of the world. Why not gather up some Kimiko-worthy snacks? As previously stated, get creative Be enthusiastic. Impress me. Be elegant or silly. Make me smile. Because there will be fabulous prizes.
YOU HAVE ONE MONTH!
August 1 – August 31
always.forthright@gmail.com
If you’re taking part, I’m going to assume you’re okay with my re-posting your pictures here on the blog, on Twitter, on Goodreads, etc. And yes, if you can find creative ways to show off your digital edition, I’ll count those pictures, too.
Fabulous Prizes. Everyone who participates (and lets me know w/ a comment or email and link) will be entered into a drawing. Two people (for Book 2) will win … a Kimiko tote! ::twinkle::

Amazon Monthly Deal. Kimiko and the Accidental Proposal is on sale during the month of May for both the US and Canada. If you haven’t purchased a digital edition, it’s the perfect time to snap up a copy!

And of course, if you’re the sort of reader who loves to HOLD a book in your hands, I do still have signed copies available. Details Here >>
Coming Soon! You can now pre-order the audio edition of Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox, which is narrated by Travis Baldree. Here it is on Audible. And my publisher tells me that the audiobook will also be available through other distributors, such as OverDrive, Hoopla, OneClick (RB Digital) in the library market, iTunes, Google, Audiobooks.com, Kobo, Findaway, and other smaller distributors in the retail market. Whew!

Releasing: March 19, 2019
Kimiko took in the Amaranthine’s showy coloring, sheer wardrobe, and excess of accessories and pegged him for a dragon. But not the one she’d been expecting, for Lord Mossberne was a blue.

I haven’t treated you to art in a while. Let’s have another of FoxOfTwilight’s sketches featuring a cast member from Book 2. You know this guy, right? ::twinkle::
A Mischief of Monkeys. In the Amaranthine Saga, monkeys are counted among the trickster clans. So it’s only natural that Inti’s arrival causes quite the stir for Class 3-C at New Saga High School. Continue reading
Enamel Pins. For someone like me, traditions just sort of start, seemingly all on their own. One thing leads to another thing, and suddenly, it’s a Thing. A good example is a recent gift from the same person who bought me a forget-me-not pin to celebrate Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox. I now have a lovely chrysanthemum pin to mark the publication of Kimiko and the Accidental Proposal. ::twinkle::

And of course, I’m now seriously tempted to have my own pins made for the series.
