In the next barn, which had been painted green, Coop looked up right away.
He froze again, but for a completely different reason. “Is this for real?”
Jiminy laughed. “Keeping the Woodacre Kith out of mischief is really challenging. Uncle Denny changes up the layout almost every week.”
“It’s like a maze.”
“It totally is,” said Jiminy. “Full of squirrel mischief—tricks and traps and treats. I played here a lot when I was little.”
“Can I?”
Jiminy made a show of thinking on it. “Maybe if you had some guides…? Try asking.”
Coop went full grovel in the straw.
