Coop went right on. “But my dad’s all for it. Maybe school is kinda like… learning the customs of a new clan.”
“Interesting!” exclaimed Cyril. “Education as a cultural exchange! It’s a refreshing perspective.” He released Coop’s hand, then struck a pose. “For avians, this is eminently polite. Good for greeting anyone in a respectful manner.”
Coop mirrored him.
Cyril said, “I’m eager to hear what you think of Bellwether.”
Jiminy suggested, “Afternoon coffee? Doon-wen wants a whiff.”
“Until then!”
Coop watched him go. “So… he’s part of the enclave?”
“A big part.” Winking, Jiminy revealed, “He founded the school.”
