Coop grabbed hold of Jiminy’s hand to be pulled through the illusory wall. “Hey, it’s a farm!”
“This is home for a lot of our Kith.” Jiminy strolled into the first in a row of barns—the yellow one.
The building seemed to be empty.
“Look up,” urged Torloo.
Coop glanced up and froze. The rafters were full of oversized birds.
“Beautiful, aren’t they?” Jiminy leaned back, admiring cascading feathers that looked like they’d been dipped in gold.
The granddaddy of them all spread his wings and fluttered to the floor.
Jiminy laughed. “Especially you! Didn’t see you there, Cyril.”
