“Let’s go!” Jiminy beckoned for them to follow. “Tour starts with breakfast!”
Next door to the coffee shop was a place called Tough Nut, and the combined smells of caramelized sugar and spices had Coop drooling.
A redheaded man leaned over the counter and coyly asked, “How many doors do you see?”
“You mean… that one?”
Handing Coop a tray heaped with pastries, he said, “On the house, friend.”
And just like that, there were two doors.
Shilah grumbled, “Squirrel nonsense.” And pushing the tray higher, he peeked underneath. “See? Sigiled.”
“It’s like a key,” confirmed Jiminy. “Thanks, Uncle Denny!”
