Heads turned to consider Mirrim, who snorted. “Not even close.”
“The answer is closer than you realize,” said Magda, her tone teasing.
Several people gazed Torloo’s way. His brows lifted.
A few peered suspiciously at Coop. He made a gesture that kinda translated use your nose.
Dominique was the first to look down.
At Grin.
Mirrim announced, “Not many know. You’re being trusted, and trust has its rewards. Partnership is within your grasp. Want it? Prove it.”
“How?” asked Dominique.
“I’d apologize.”
