Coop reported back to Mutt. “She said that if I can do better, then go ahead, but… we’re already winning, and neither team likes it.”
Mutt grumbled, and there was a disorienting shift. Then arms wrapped around Coop from behind. “Don’t look.” A hand clasped over Coop’s eyes reinforced the order.
“Eyes shut,” he promised, even though he wanted to see.
“Reavers who aren’t raised among Kith don’t realize that they’re dealing with people. They’re ignorant. They’re rude. They need to be instructed.”
“Ms. Magda and Ms. Mirrim haven’t said anything, though.”
“The lesson isn’t theirs to teach. It’s ours.”
