Coop did his best to explain, but he could tell he was losing his audience. Giang’s incredulity slowly shifted into awkwardness, and Pierre zipped straight to annoyance, like Coop had somehow wasted his time.

After breakfast, he reported to an open-sided structure with long tables. The outdoor classroom filled quickly with little kids, so… beginners. Then Farook swaggered in, Torloo close on his heels, and all was right with Coop’s world.

He confidently lifted a hunter’s handsign.

The brothers answered in tandem.

And Farook called his class to order by asking, “How many other ways do wolves speak without words?”
