Meeting Sadness
A low whistle alerted Coop to the hunters’ return. He thrust a fist high, welcoming them back.
Boon answered by lifting several limp carcasses by their hind legs. “I’ve got this,” he rumbled. And he gave a silent order, jutting his chin toward Torloo.
The young wolf’s eyes were red-rimmed, his gaze listless.
It was familiar. Dad had been like this for a while.
But then Drew Hunter had arrived. And Beast.
Coop had watched, so he kinda knew what to do.
Boon seemed to think he was the one his brother needed.
But that was really up to Torloo.
