Lessons for Reavers

Coop explained about passports and waiting lists.

“Wardenclave is popular, but there are strings that could be pulled.” Uncle Moon casually revealed, “Torloo will be spending the second half of the summer there, helping his brother with the kinds of courses that young reavers take.”

“Reavers have to take lessons?”

“Certainly.”

“Are you a teacher?”

“Mmm, no. I’m better suited to behind-the-scenes jobs.”

“Like tracking?”

“My specialty.”

Coop hoped he wouldn’t be insulting Torloo’s uncle when he asked, “Do you ever forage?”

“Need something for your stew?” Moon’s smile was really sad. “Put me to work. I’d appreciate the distraction.”
