Boon pushed them to their feet. Torloo’s tail tucked, and his attention strayed to the healers, but he didn’t resist when Coop pulled him along. Kitchen. Den.

This room belonged to Dad and Daroo, and Coop hoped they wouldn’t mind him bringing strangers through, because Tolroo should get the absolute best first impression of their back yard.

Coop swung wide the garden door… and waited.  

Torloo blinked at the sun-dappled green tunnel formed by rows of curving arbors.

Boon lifted his chin. An order.

“Want to see the creek?” Holding tight, Coop led Torloo toward the sound of running water.
