“Good morning, daughter.”
The familiar voice sent a rush of panic through Sesshoume’s veins, and she crouched to flee, but it was far too late.
“Stand your ground,” the Western Lord commanded sharply.
“Father,” she murmured, her voice low and husky.
He prowled around her, taking deep breaths. “You spent the night among humans?”
There was no denying it, so she met the accusation with sullen silence.
“With a male?” he inquired lightly.
Her only answer was a slight downturn of her lips.
Scrutinizing her face, he demanded, “Who wounded you?”
“A fool.”
“So… where might I find his body?”
