Kagome was trapped when Sesshoumaru reared up onto his knees, towering over her—dominant, demanding. He set one finger against her forehead. “Your thoughts. Just now. Explain.”
The truth. “Erm… I suppose… I was thinking about you.”
“Why?”
What to say? “You’re someone I admire, Sesshoumaru-sama.”
His head tipped to one side.
“Are you reading my mind?” she whispered.
“No.” Sesshoumaru tapped her brow. “There is… something.”
“On my face?”
“On your… mind. Perhaps. It is gone.” He resorted to sniffing.
Kagome could only let him. Turnabout was probably fair.
She knew he had moods. He knew she had ideas.
